About me (then).
I was five. I could still taste the saccharine sweet remnants of chocolate on my tongue. My mouth was smeared with cocoa crumbs and icing. My parents walked in, mouths wide open.
“Laura! Did you take a bite of Grandma’s birthday cake?”
“No.”
And so the storytelling began…
About Me (now).
I’m a freelance journalist, copywriter and content consultant based just outside London. I write about fashion, culture, travel and emerging trends, with work featured in The Wall Street Journal, Metro, Stylist and Breathe. I’ve also interviewed high-profile figures including Sharon Osbourne, Dries Van Noten and Russell Tovey.
Alongside my journalism work, I consult for Pinterest. I’ve worked across major projects including Pinterest Predicts and Pinterest Palette, helping shape trend narratives, content experiences and creative direction for a global audience.
As a copywriter, I’ve spent more than a decade working with Zalando, creating editorial, campaign and trend-led content, alongside projects for brands including the BBC, National Rail, Trivago and Debenhams.
Whether I’m reporting on cultural shifts, developing trend forecasts or creating copy for global brands, I’m passionate about turning ideas into compelling stories and exploring the weird, wonderful and unexpected moments that make this funny planet such an interesting place to be.
